Back in time

We had a great first session with a group of creative young people from Marsden Heights looking at ideas inspired by the heritage of the local area. During the refurb of the library we managed to salvage a lot of old books and photographs which we used to inspire project ideas. The young people unearthed some great images of old shoe shops, a visiting elephant and an old reciepe book which they want to take and bake the contents for an event based on the old notes, brilliant! This is all leading to writing a Heritage Lottery Bid to explore the old Brierfield Mill recently bought back by the council.
